About
Decades of design
Husband-and-wife team
Salpy and Kevork Kalaidijan founded the Salpy brand in 2000, fusing her eye for composition with his knowledge of construction to design each collection. Kevork descends from generations & generations of shoemakers, while Salpy comes from a background in fashion buying & sales. Together, they built the brand to reflect Salpy’s own personal style – effortlessly chic, yet rooted in comfort & quality.
Each pair of Salpy shoes is crafted in our small, tight knit factory in Los Angeles, California, where founders Salpy and Kevork have become like family to the artisans who make each pair by hand. From start to finish, our shoes are cut, stitched, carved painted and polished by a few skilled crafts-men and women who take great pride in their craft.
Our high-end facility is noted for its refreshingly organized approach to manufacturing and its commitment to ethical, sustainable practices. By manufacturing locally, we ensure that each person involved in the production line receives fair wages and a safe place to work.

Designs that reflect longevity
Rather than following the fleeting trends of the moment, our timeless styles are intended to build lasting customer relationships. We are always evolving with the needs and wants of the women who wear our shoes, and ultimately, we know our customers appreciate the time and skill required to achieve lasting quality you can see and touch.
We use patterns, shapes, and materials that can be worn season after season. With lush, cushioned footbeds, our shoes conform to the shape of your foot and grow even more comfortable over time.
Designing with longevity in mind benefits not only our customers, but the environment too by limiting our contribution to the fashion industry’s waste.
